It's not that our system rotates the images, it's the other way around.
When modern cameras take a picture, it includes a code in it that designates which way is up or down. But our system doesn't read these codes, we just upload it the direction that it was taken.

Until then, the easiest option is to open your picture in any image editor (your phone's Gallery probably has a built-in editor), make any modification to it at all (slightly crop it, increase the brightness, anything), and then save it. The new saved copy will have the correct orientation.
