It's not that our system rotates the images, it's the other way around.

When modern cameras take a picture, it includes a code in it that designates which way is up or down. But our system doesn't read these codes, we just upload it the direction that it was taken.

Some interesting reading on it:

I'm working on a new system that will read this code and orient your picture for you, but it's taking forever to build

Until then, the easiest option is to open your picture in any image editor (your phone's Gallery probably has a built-in editor), make any modification to it at all (slightly crop it, increase the brightness, anything), and then save it. The new saved copy will have the correct orientation.

could it be a pixel ratio issue? Maybe try editing the size of the image itself. You can use a batch editor or just crop each into a square like you would for instagram. Give it a try, can't hurt. Let me know if that works.

I sent a message to gowilkes this morning. I've tried all I know and nothing works.

It happens to me as well when I post ads. It is something that Gowilkes will need to investigate to see why their system keeps rotating the images.

I save pictures from my iPhone to my laptop. When I attempt to post them for an add on gowilkes they are rotated either 90 or 180 degrees. I have tried rotating the pictures on my laptop anticipating they will be correct when I post them, but that has no effect. So...what am I doing wrong?
